God’s Luv International Ministries Church was founded on Dr. Pierre Bennett’s vision of a worldwide ministry to help not just his own congregation, but those in need across the globe. God’s Luv International Ministries Church recently heard the story of how their leader, Dr. Pierre Bennett likens spirituality to a great sports car. In this sermon, the God’s Luv International Ministries Church pastor explained how he had his eye on a Bentley. The cost for a slightly used one was comparable to a Mercedes, Dr. Bennett told them, and with a friend who owned a car dealership, he was all set for his next car to be a Bentley.
But along the way, the God’s Luv International Ministries Church founder learned a lesson in humility. Relating the story to his God’s Luv International Ministries Church congregation, Dr. Bennett said that he traveled to the Bentley dealership with his mind set on a small sports car. He’d never liked the larger Bentleys, the God’s Luv International Ministries Church leader told his congregation, thinking they looked too much like something an old man would drive.
Once he arrived at the dealership, which was a small, easy-to-miss building tucked away behind other buildings, the God’s Luv International Ministries Church pastor eyed the Bentley sports car displayed outside. His intention was to view the small sports cars inside the 400 square foot space, the pastor explained to God’s Luv International Ministries Church.
But something happened once he entered the small building. The God’s Luv International Ministries Church leader got a look at a Bentley so beautiful, he jokes that it was the type of car someone would want to marry. His prayer to someday be able to have the Bentley sports car of his dreams had to be revised. As he explained to the people of God’s Luv International Ministries Church, Dr. Bennett knew the small used Bentley would fit with his lifestyle. He could drive it into his current neighborhood. With the larger, top-of-the-line model, the God’s Luv International Ministries Church pastor tried to imagine fitting it into his life and couldn’t. The IRS and the FBI would start watching him, Dr. Bennett theorized.
While he walked away from that Bentley, the God’s Luv International Ministries Church leader said it gave him something to reach for. He won’t have that Bentley this week or this month, says the God’s Luv International Ministries Church pastor, but he believes in time he will. He knows this because he gave it over to God. By living in God’s penthouse, Dr. Bennett tells God’s Luv International Ministries Church, he prepares himself to have all of his greatest dreams.
